Why do some handles need heavy sprung locks & latches

Some of the handles in our ranges are un-sprung - this means they have no attached spring to return the handle into the horizontal position.
You will need to ensure that the locks and latches you have to work with the handles have a heavy spring in them so this will then ensure that the handles are bought back to the horizontal position.
If your handles do not return properly or you find they droop then your lock or latch does not have the correct springing required.
You can purchase some coil springs item: 8000060 / 8000061 which may help with the return springing rather than replacing your lock or latch.

Will the Privacy or Bathroom Lock furniture suit my existing locks?

Our Bathroom/Privacy furniture works on and 8mm spindle for the handles and an 8mm Sleeved spindle for the privacy turn.
They are UK standard lock centres of 57mm

Will your handles work with Multipoint Locking Systems?

All our un-sprung furniture will work with multipoint locking systems.
The Handles/Turns come with and 8mm spindle as standard. However you can request a 7mm spindle if needed.
Lock centres on all Multipoint locking systems vary, so you would need to ensure you have these measurements when selecting the style of handle you require as some backplates are limited as to what lock centres they can accommodate.
We can provide long fixings for doors over 44mm thick - you will need to specify this when ordering.

Will your lock handles suit my UK lock?

All our standard lock furniture is stamped to the UK lock standard of 57mm with an 8mm spindle.

The only thing you have to make sure of is that your lock is Heavy Sprung if you have selected an unsprung handle design.
